Student life at ACD promotes positive development by encouraging participation in programs and activities designed to provide students with enriching experiences and opportunities to develop social and leadership skills and responsibility.

The Student Council is an organization run by students promoting the intellectual, social and cultural welfare of students through effective self-government. As the main voice of the student body, the student council acts as a liaison between the students, the administration and the faculty. It also provides a means for greater involvement on campus. ACD Student Council comprises of ten(10) members; the students elect five of these, and the remaining five are nominated.

The Student Activities Office organizes, coordinates and promotes educational, recreational, social and cultural programs and activities for ACD students and the community. The office also provides information on student clubs and organizations, special events and the Student Council. The office's professional staff provides advice and support to all registered student clubs and organizations. Through involvement in campus programs and activities students enhance their talents and develop interpersonal and leadership skills. The different student clubs and organizations in the College encourage and promote membership and students enrich their collegiate academic experience by becoming involved in student sponsored clubs/organizations. All students are encouraged to form clubs and organizations that can promote their interests and hobbies. The Student Activities Office supports student clubs/organizations by assisting and advising them. If you are interested in forming your own organization or club contact the Student Activities Office for guidelines and information. ACD has the following clubs:-

Writers' Club Community Service Club
Dance Club Sports Club
Music Club Fashion Club
Drama Club Computer Club

ACD also has a newsletter which represents and serves the student population at ACD. It introduces students to journalism, editing and writing. The newsletter offers student reporters and editors the opportunity to practice all aspects of newspaper work, such as editing, photo journalism, design, graphics and layout. All registered students are welcome to contribute to the newsletter.

The College also offers a variety of inter and intramural recreational sports activities. The College firmly believes that participation in sports develops leadership, cooperation and competition. All sports are supervised by the Sports/Safety Coordinator. Schedules for events are available at the Student Union premises. Basketballs, Chess sets etc., are available at this office upon presentation of a valid student ID card. Students competing in inter-collegiate teams must attain and maintain a GPA of at least 2.0. The teams that are open to all new students are:

Basketball Billiards
Football Table Tennis
Cricket
